Veterinarians
Karen Blake, DVM, Dipl. ACVS
A board certified surgeon, Dr. Karen Blake’s practice at BEMC focuses are equine surgery, sports medicine, and podiatry.
Gemma Cock, BVM, MRCVS, Dipl. ACVIM-LA
Dr. Gemma Cock is board certified in large animal internal medicine. She especially enjoys caring for neonatal foals.
Sabrina Cooper, DVM, AVCA
Dr. Sabrina Cooper enjoys preventive care, urgent care, and incorporating integrative therapies with Western medicine.
Jessica Evans, DVM
Dr. Jessica Evans enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and preventive care but has a particular interest in equine dentistry. She is also certified in veterinary acupuncture.
Joanne Fehr, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVS, IVCA, CVA
With a background in surgery and lameness, Dr. Fehr now enjoys focusing on supporting horses, dogs, and cats with an integrative approach through chiropractic and acupuncture care.
Shannon Findley, DVM, Shareholder
Dr. Shannon Findley’s practice focuses on equine wellness care and reproduction. She also has a strong passion for volunteering in international veterinary medicine, a field known as equitarianism.
Wendy Krebs, DVM, Shareholder
Dr. Wendy Krebs joined Bend Equine Medical Center in 2002 and became a shareholder in 2008. Her areas of interest include surgery, sports medicine, and preventive care.
Mary Masterson, DVM
Affiliated with BEMC as a part-time associate, Dr. Mary Masterson travels the hunter-jumper show circuit much of the year and spends the winter working the show-jumping and polo seasons in Southern California.
Amanda Sarbry, DVM, MBA
Dr. Amanda Sabry focuses on urgent care and is our emergency and overnight clinician.
Intern Veterinarians
Veterinary internships at BEMC offer recent Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Medical Doctorate graduates an opportunity to deepen their clinical experience under the guidance of our team. Conner Dugan, DVM
A native of Colorado, Dr. Dugan grew up riding in Western drill teams and working with his family’s Mustangs. Although he’s always been involved with horses, he came into the veterinary profession through a less traditional route.
Kristen Stucker, DVM
Dr. Kristen Stucker grew up in Iowa riding and showing American Saddlebreds. Before attending veterinary school at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), Dr. Stucker worked as a seasonal veterinary assistant at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Susie Botts, Customer Service Representative
Susie joined BEMC in 2004 and is a familiar face to our longtime clients. She’s a lifelong animal lover who owns a small menagerie.
Ashley Clark, CVT, Technical Services Director
Ashley is a certified veterinary technician who joined BEMC in 2007 and has served as our director of technical services since 2013.
Sarah Cook, CVT, CVPM, Practice Manager, Shareholder
Sarah oversees all things related to running BEMC’s business and operations. An experienced certified veterinary technician, she also helps in the clinic when our veterinarians need an extra set of hands.
Tammy Ellenburg, Facility Assistant
Tammy joined BEMC in June 2022. In her role, she helps keep our expansive and active facility tidy and well-maintained and our stalls comfortable for our overnight equine patients.
Jennifer Harrison, Client and Patient Care Coordinator
Jennifer joined BEMC in September 2022 as a Client and Patient Care Coordinator. Before joining BEMC Jennifer worked weddings and events, and taught therapeutic riding lessons in Nevada.
Carly, Veterinary Assistant
Carly is a lifelong horseperson who joined BEMC in 2021.
Sommer Leipier, Veterinary Assistant
Sommer grew up on a small ranch in California and enjoys barrel racing. She has an interest in equine physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Jessica Marcotte, Veterinary Assistant
An athlete herself, Jessica especially enjoys helping with equine sports medicine and rehabilitation cases.
Emily, Pharmacy Assistant
As a pharmacy technician, Emily helps organize and inventory the drugs required to run an equine hospital and small animal clinic.
Amy Slotte, Customer Service Representative
Amy Slotte joined BEMC in 2022 to help support our growing practice. She’s worked in customer service for more than 20 years

Ally enjoys meeting new horses and making a difference in their lives.
Michelle, Inventory Manager
Michelle joined BEMC at the start of 2017 as a customer service representative. She truly enjoys getting to see a variety of animals each day at work and getting to know their owners.
